Healthy Food Choices for Longer Life.

Years of research show populations bordering the Mediterranean Sea have a reduced incidence of heart disease. Their traditional meals incorporate fish, fruits, vegetables, grains, and low meat and meat product consumption. In addition to the right food choices, appropriate portions of food and frequent exercise are essential for weight control and health. Olive oil and an occasional glass of red wine provide additional antioxidants and resveratrol, known to be heart-healthy. If you don’t drink alcohol, consider substituting dark grape or blueberry juice for similar benefits.
